The Premier League club announced the news on their Twitter feed on Monday night.

The club wrote: “We are delighted to report that Ryan Mason has been discharged from St Mary’s Hospital in London.”

Mason required surgery after a sickening clash of heads with Blues skipper Gary Cahill and remains in a stable condition as he recovers in hospital.

And the Hull midfielder has received messages of support from the world of football the past week.

The Tigers’ players worse training kits with his name and number on the back before their League Cup semi-final clash with Man United last week.

And Tottenham followed suit by warming up in shirts dedicated to their former player before Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Wycombe.

Mason was also paid a visit by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino last week.

Hull boss Marco Silva said yesterday: ““We were with him yesterday [Sunday] and I saw Ryan smile, which is very important for me and all our squad.

“I don’t have news about this [whether he will play again this season] but I like what I saw.

“It is important for us that he progresses well, but we need to be calm with him.”
