GARETH BALE led tributes to Hull midfielder Ryan Mason who has sustained a fractured skull after a sickening clash of heads with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.
The Tigers midfielder was rushed St Maryโs Hospital and underwent emergency neuro surgery following the incident in the defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Hull confirmed the midfielder had suffered a fractured skull in a statement via their website but said he is in a stable condition.

The statement read: โThe Club can confirm that Ryan Mason sustained a skull fracture in our fixture at Chelsea this afternoon.
โHe was taken to St Maryโs Hospital where he has undergone surgery.
โRyan is in a stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days.
